Today, we are covering restaurants with a variety of vegan options that deliver food without creating plastic waste in four metro cities. As people are becoming more aware of what’s in their food, where it’s grown, and how, veganism is finding more takers as it is a practice rooted in sustainable use of plant power and avoidance of animal resources. If you are vegan or vegetarian, then this blog post is for you. Let's get started: 1. Greenr, Delhi Arguably the best vegan restaurant in India, Greenr does everything from loaded vegan nachos to pizza. Our favourite is their community mezze platter, which has different types of housemade sauces and dips. Their carry bags and food containers are all biodegradable and some of it is made from bagasse. They are currently open for dine-in and practicing social distancing. If you are not up for a dine-in experience yet, then order in from Greenr without breaking a sweat about the environment. They are as green as it can get. 2. GoodDo, Mumbai GoodDo is an awesome kiosk/restaurant in Mumbai (plus, a total of 9 outlets) that makes the most plant powerful meals. They use mock meats like soy, pea protein, and wheat gluten to create the meetiest burgers and pavs. If you are a non-vegetarian turned vegan, then this definitely is the place for you. Order from here in their bagasse containers and enjoy a meaty experience. 3. Fab Cafe, Hyderabad Fab cafe is a household name for many now as Fabindia opened a chain of immaculately done restaurants across India. Their food is packed in paper boxes to avoid the use of plastic. Their speciality is to serve the speciality cuisine of as many states as possible. They have at least one dish from almost all states of India. Plus, they have some refreshing smoothies and ice creams too. Don't wait Hyderabad, order from Fab Cafe now! 4. Go Native, Bengaluru Go Native is what would be called the child of a temple and a restaurant. They have some similarities with Fab Cafe when it comes to the state speciality concept but the menus are completely different. They also send their delivery in bagasse containers so you don't have to worry about landfill pollution. Eat away! Have you been to any of these restaurants in your city (or otherwise) or have more city recommendations? Let us know in the comments. Eat sustainable, stay home and be safe.
